I mentioned the other day that OPS had recommended a low carb diet book, 4 Ingredients, which I purchased because OPS knows how to cook. The cookbook contains a recipe for Chicken and Dumplings, so I tried it out last week and it was a complete disaster. Tasted okay but was more like a soup than dumplings.
OPS advised that I probably stirred it and he was absolutely right. Also, I didn't get the broth up to a heavy boil before dropping the dumplings in. So, I tried it again tonight. Ah, success! Real dumplings! I did modify the original recipe a bit, subbing black pepper for the thyme because I really don't like thyme all that much.
So, here is my modified version along with a pic of my efforts tonight. I'm full and satisfied, very nice.
