I’m thinking that it was worth the three day suspension.
On Sept. 20, officer Gabriel Padilla stopped a car driven by Denisia Espino in the 1900 block of Pleasant Valley Road because he said she was driving recklessly, the memo said.
When he approached the vehicle, the memo said, Espino frustrated Padilla “by ignoring him and blowing smoke in his face.”
A few minutes later, Espino’s cell phone rang, and she tried to answer it after Padilla told her not to, the memo said. Padilla grabbed the phone, threw it on the hood of Espino’s car and handcuffed her, the memo said.
He left her handcuffed in the back seat of his patrol car and told a passenger in her car that Espino, who had not committed a crime, was in “timeout,” the memo said.
